Are you a Wicked mega-fan? Are you hungry for the inside scoop on the show? Did you know that Wicked offers behind-the-scenes presentations on the making of the show?!
Behind the Emerald Curtain is a program run by cast members at the Gershwin Theatre every Saturday at 10:00am. The presenters (cast members from the show) take you through the entire process of creating, casting, rehearsing, and performing a Broadway show. It includes a tour of the Behind the Emerald Curtain Museum, which features a detailed set model (by Tony Award-winning set designer Eugene Lee) and some of the beautiful costumes (by Tony Award-winning costume designer Susan Hilferty) from the show. Guests are free to inspect the incredible amounts of detail that went into creating the unique style of Wicked, from the hundreds of beads on Elphaba and Glinda's dresses to distinctive wigs and props that characterize Ozian fashion.
This tour reveals the work of the 125 people that work tirelessly to bring Wicked to life every performance day, and it also features a question and answer session with the cast members, who will answer guests' questions about Wicked or about show business in general. And if you want a memento of your experience, you can also purchase merchandise exclusive to the Behind the Emerald Curtain program.
Good News: Tickets are only $30!
